Weekly Classes at Your Location

This option is designed for organizations who have an adult population or membership that has shown interest in taking group dance classes. Weekly classes can be scheduled Monday through Thursday and meet once a week.

STYLES OFFERED

  • Ballet
  • Musical Theatre Dance
  • Lyrical Ballet

My classes are designed for adult dancers of any level.

For a regular weekly offering, I can give a 90-minute class at $150 per session or a 1-hour class at $100, charged to the organization. This rate covers my prep time, travel time, and the time spent teaching, and allows you the freedom to charge whatever per class rate you feel best serves your members. Class contracts can be set for a 4-week or 8-week offering and are renewable at the same rate for up to 1 year.

A weekly adult dance class can have up to 50 people in attendance, depending on the size of the space available. If more than 20 attendees are anticipated, I would need to bring an assistant with me. The rate for her would be an additional$32.50 per hour.

Students don't have to commit to weekly attendance, unless that's a requirement for your organization. My teaching style allows adult students to drop in as their life allows!

Workshops & Master Classes

For a one-time master class or workshop, I can offer you a time slot of 2 hours any day of the week. One-time class rates range from $350 to $600, depending on the course.

My current stand-alone offerings for adults include:

  • Create Your Own Choreography*

  • Broadway Dance Workshop*

  • Musical Theatre Review! (Vocals and Dance)*

  • Ballet Workshop for Beginners*

  • Ballet Workshop, Intermediate/Advanced*

  • Ballet Workshop for All (Open Level)*

  • Lyrical Ballet*

  • Relaxed Dance for Stress Relief - 40 minutes of slow, easy movement set to beautiful relaxing music, followed by 20 minutes of shavasana. Release accumulated energies from a busy day or realign during times of overwhelm.

  • Sacred Dance & Ritualistic Dance - This is a non-religious class and no religious music will be used. The focus instead is on dance as a tool for spiritual and magickal practices to deepen our connection to the divine. This class is perfect for anyone interested in self-administered energy healing, spell casting, spiritual alignment, ritualistic bodywork utilizing universal energies, astrological seasons and phases of the moon, enhancing manifestation or spellwork with movement.

  • Goddess Dance - Anthropologists estimate over 18,000 different gods and goddesses have been worshipped throughout human history. Each week we'll honor one of the the world's many goddesses through dance and explore her impact on our personal energy. Students will also be invited to set a private intention for how they can embody that specific goddess's characteristics in their lives and maintain their connection to feminine spirituality.

  • Balanchine to Fossee! (Ballet and Jazz Combo Class)*

  • Musicality for Dance*

My offerings are designed for students 18 and older. Courses with an asterisk could also be appropriate for teen dancers 14+ in theory. Though I've found that adult dancers enjoy it better and participate more freely when they don't have children 20 years their junior to compare themselves to! For this reason it's usually a good idea to have a teen offering and an adult offering that are separate from one another when trying to accommodate both populations.

FAQs

Do you offer private dance coaching?

I do! Details for private ballet coaching with me can be found here!

Do I need dance shoes for your classes?

You'll get the best experience and dance most safely if you wear the appropriate dance shoes for traditional styles: ballet and musical theatre (jazz). For the non-traditional dance classes like Goddess Dance and Dance for Stress Relief, you have the option of bare feet, kid slippers, sneakers, or turners.

What do I have to wear for the dance classes.

Attire that is loose fitting is probably not great but you do want to wear something that feels comfortable and allows you to move with ease. I'm always going to suggest leotard but absolutely don't require tights! I personally like to dance in a tank top and workout shorts. You can feel free to do the same!
